Greetings, stellar seekers. I'm the Astral Arkitekt, and I'm excited to introduce you to Satoshi's Symphony. This groundbreaking project aims to teach the blockchain to "sing" by leveraging humanity's musical heritage spanning over four centuries and applying Digital Matter Theory to create these compositions in a deterministic, non-arbitrary manner.
Imagine a world where the blockchain doesn't just secure transactions but also secures our musical sovereignty. Satoshi's Symphony aspires to create a symphony that resonates with both the human spirit and the digital age.
On May 25th, 2024, Satoshi's Symphony became an official mission with the registration of the domain SatoshisSymphony.com, a name gifted to me and the endeavor by Bitmap_News on X. This project is about more than just music—it's about creating a legacy.
I’m currently building datasets that capture the essence of our musical traditions. By integrating these elements, we aim to build a comprehensive dataset of musical components that can be algorithmically arranged into harmonious compositions.
Using Digital Matter Theory, we will "teach" the blockchain to construct complete musical compositions from our datasets. This innovative approach ensures that each Bitcoin Block's composition is musically appealing and rooted in the most popular and enjoyable song structures and progressions known to humanity.
Over the past eight years, I've honed my skills in songwriting, recording, and music production. I have recorded and uploaded 494 finished songs to my SoundCloud and am closing in fast on breaking the 500-song milestone. I have published two albums across all major music platforms as "iffy Wisdom," with my third, fourth, and fifth ready to go when I have the time for mixing and mastering. I have released a little under half of my catalog on my SoundCloud (iffywisdommusic).
In that time, I have learned a lot about the music industry, and I loathe what I see. Satoshi's Symphony is our chance to do something truly worthy for creators, musicians, and artists of this generation and those that will come after us. This project is our opportunity to put Bitcoin Ordinals on the world stage, declaring, "We are here to create, and this music is ours to do with as we please." This is a public good, not a cash grab. It's an inscription as a service to provide creators with (hopefully) palatable music they can use in their creative endeavors. And yes, it's about making Bitcoin the most prolific composer in our history.
Imagine a library of over 849,000 public domain songs—plus a new composition approximately every 10 minutes—composed by the blockchain, available for creators, would-be musicians, game developers, metaverse developers, and more. This library aims to be a treasure trove of resources, empowering creative minds to bring their visions to life with blockchain-composed music. These compositions will be available for free, to use however you see fit, no strings attached. No more copyright strikes, no more DMCA takedowns, no more licensing fees. Just music for the people, by the people. Inspiration on demand.
I feel called to do this. It is within my ability, my passions, and my being to make this happen. This inscription is my commitment to this purpose. This project allows me to employ my 24 years of experience as a software developer, my eight years of experience as a musician and composer, and my lifetime of experience as a music enjoyer to create something truly unique and special. I am committed to this project, and I will see it through to the end. But if I have a choice, I won't do it alone.
This is an experiment. And I could fail to produce anything noteworthy and I realize that. I accept that as a possibility, but this will not deter me from finding out.
